Project Kadzinuni

Rotary Club of Bolsover

The Rotary Club of Bolsover are supporters of the Friends of Kadzinuni one of the three African charities receiving donations from the club.

Established in 2003 The Friends of Kadzinuni is a UK charity. It supports Kadzinuni Primary School and its rural community located near the small town of Vipingo north of Mombasa on the Kenya coast. Kadzinuni is home to just under 8,000 people – slightly less than Bolsover, yet with similar sustainability problems, our donations are being channelled into projects at Kadzinuni by The Friends of Kadzinuni.

The Friends are supported by charitable organisations – churches, schools and voluntary groups including Rotary. They have helped in building classrooms, a clinic, library, toilets and an improved water supply and many other projects. The Friends are succeeding in their aim to help a very poor rural community to become self sufficient and able to generate its own wealth in the long term.

We recently showcased Friends of Kadzinuni at an International night held at Chesterfield College, and continued our support by highlighting them at District 1220 International event held on the 1st March.
