Rotary Engages with Chamber
Rotary District 1220 is now a member of the East Midlands Chamber of Commerce which is the second largest in the UK and currently has a membership of more than 4,500 companies.
There are potentially mutually beneficial opportunities for both organisations, working in partnership, by offering companies the facility to achieve Corporate Social Responsibility objectives through local community projects.
Membership of the Chamber enables every club in D1220 access to a large resource of potential volunteers and funding that will be of significant benefit to the local community. Engaging with the business community through this initiative offers Rotary Clubs a unique opportunity to identify prospective new members and raise awareness of Rotary through projects in the community. Rotary will also be able to showcase itself at major Chamber events and direct to the business community through Chamber publicity.
Key to the success of this partnership is the need for projects in the community which Rotary Clubs are required to identify and scope. This brings opportunity for clubs to work together especially on larger projects.
D1220 have established a dedicated team to help clubs and companies partner together on projects and all enquiries, questions and proposed projects need to be emailed to [email protected] to ensure smooth, effective, progress. Club support includes access to a series of documents including guidance notes, project templates etc. which are available via the links in the top left of this webpage.
