**Background Canaan Trust provide a holistic person centre for homeless men and women. They are in the process of acquiring the other half of the semi-detached 3 storey Edwardian property on Main St. Long Eaton that they already own. They are planning to covert the property into an 8-bed centre for homeless women.
**Project Benefits To provide in initial shelter for homeless women and longer term support to enable them to obtain their own accommodation and become self-sufficient.
Objectives To complete the acquisition of the property by the end of April 2022 and convert the property by December 2022.
Scope of work To achieve the objectives the Trust is seeking as much volunteer support from corporate business, local companies and volunteers skilled and unskilled. They require architects to design the conversion; someone with the necessary knowledge to oversee the conversion project; suppliers to provide materials and volunteers to undertake skilled and unskilled work.
Project Costing The Canaan Trust has costed the project but as it is multi-phased with the Trust bearing some of the costs and a reliance on material donations it is not relevant
Material requirements Electrical and plumbing equipment and decoration materials.
