Local Rotary Clubs Awarded for Working Together

The organisers of the annual Ashover Classic Car & Bike Show have received a special award for working closely together in partnership that ensures the successful event raises thousands of pounds for needy local charities.

The Rotary Clubs of Chesterfield, Chesterfield Scarsdale, Clay Cross and Matlock have received recognition from Rotary District 1220 with the presentation of the ‘Peter Moralee Working Together Trophy’ which was made during a special function at Chesterfield Town Hall on Thursday 16 April 2015.

Over the last four years various local charities have benefited by over £40,000 from the event at the picturesque Ashover Rectory Fields Show Ground where hundreds of classic cars and bikes attend the all-day rally.

The date of this year’s event is Sunday 26 July from 10.00am to 4.00pm. Check out www.ashoverclassics.co.uk
