District Governor David Hood and Governor Elect Jill Bethell last night welcomed 2020-21 District Team members to the first of two District Officer Preparation Seminars.
Held at TheDerbyshire Hotel, refreshments were available especially for those with distances to travel and also those coming from work.
Governor Elect Jill, having recently returned from Rotary HQ Dan San Diego, presented all with badges showing the International theme, ‘ROTARY OPENS OPPORTUNITY.’
Members heard about the Vision Statement:
‘Together we see a World where PEOPLE unite to CREATE lasting CHANGE across the globe, in our communities and in ourselves.’
Discussion groups considered Rotary’s strategic Priorities and objectives:
•INCREASE OUR IMPACT
•EXPAND OUR REACH
•ENHANCE PARTICIPANT ENGAGEMENT
•INCREASE OUR ABILITY TO ADAPT.
A very useful, interesting and thought provoking seminar with an opportunity to meet Rotary leaders across the District and helping us to achieve ‘Rotary Happy’ throughout our 66 clubs.
