Rotherham Rotary Club recently celebrated the successful conclusion of its first Primary School Art Competition, an initiative designed to encourage creativity while inspiring young people to reflect on their local community.
This year’s competition invited pupils to create artwork based on the theme “Our Rotherham, Our Community”, producing a wonderful range of imaginative and thoughtful entries that showcased both artistic talent and community spirit.
Following careful consideration by the judging panel, comprising Roger, Peter, Chris and Michael Sumption, three winning pupils were selected. The judges commented that while the standard of entries was high, they were unanimous in choosing the overall winner.
The prize presentation took place at Gulliver’s World, where the three prize-winning pupils were recognised for their outstanding artwork and presented with their awards.
Rotherham Rotary Club would like to thank all of the pupils, teachers, parents and judges who helped make the competition such a success. The club hopes this will become a regular event, continuing to encourage creativity, community pride and engagement with local schools for many years to come.
